January 17th 2005 saw around 120 Round Tablers and 41 Club members gather together at the Park House Hotel Shifnal to join in celebrating something that has become all to rare an event, namely the chartering of a new Round Table, Not the amalgamation of a number of existing Round Tables but a Brand New Round Table, Shifnal 1275!

Round Table National President Adrian Gibbons was on hand to do the honors with National Vice President Gary Smith and many members of the Round Table National Executive. 19 new members were inducted a sight and number that many long established Round Tables will envy.

It is ten years since the last new club was formed and President Adrian had to use a text dating from seventeen years ago! Portsmouth Round Table number 2 were on hand to exchange banners, one of the oldest with the newest.

The three course meal and ceremony was followed with a banner exchange then a comedian.
