We need a Vice-Chairman!

A vacancy exists for the Club's Vice-Chairman. If you are interested please contact Chairman Robin.

This role is to assist the Chairman in running the Club and to become Chairman for the year 2021-2022.

Despite everyone's concern - this is not an onerous role! Not having a VC puts the future of the Club in jeopardy.

If you have had this role before there is no reason why you cant do it again, but obviously preference would be given to someone doing it for the first time.

Antipodean Burns Night - Abingdon Style...

This year, the haggis was addressed using a live link to Australia! Members watched as the Haggis was brought in to the Crown & Thistle in Abingdon, whilst the Club's Caledonian Officer Colin Webster addressed it from Australia via Facetime link. We believe this to be a unique event and were pleased that Colin had to get up at 6am whilst on holiday to do this - and of course as he attended the meeting (!?) he is being charged for his dinner!!!!!

Andrew Hoare 'stabs' the haggis!
