The Hope Hub 14-05-2019 Club news: Camberley

The Hope Hub has now moved into its more permanent premises.  Our new address is The Hope Hub Building (Rear of Library), Knoll Road, Camberley GU15 3 SY.

The refurbished building offers us the space and facilities to begin to offer our full suite of services to those affected by the problems of homelessness and the risk of homelessness. We can now begin to expand our help to further our Living Well courses to help people to learn those life and independence skills many of us take for granted in our lives.

Camberley 41 Club's support at Christmas time together with generous donations from many private individuals and organisations has enabled us to continue to make a difference to many in our area. We can now report that over the last 12 months since we began operations we have helped 109 people of which 67 were male, 41 female and 1 transgender. 66 of these people can be described as homeless but we were able to help prevent 43 of our clients from becoming homeless. That is a great difference to people who are experiencing great anxiety in their lives. Each of our clients has a different story to tell and their problems can be extremely complex. However our caseworker team has helped them through their difficult times.

Please feel free to pop in at some point and see what we have to offer now.

Please pass on our congratulations to Sashi on his appointment as Chairman. I hope that the revised collections laws will allow The Camberley 41 Club's support to local causes unhindered in the future.

All the very best from us all at The Hope Hub
