Club news: Guisborough

The Vice-Chairman’s Challenge night with Round Table. Held at The Ship Inn, Guisborough. Left in the hands of the V-C’s the evening started with a tussle over the timing of the food, with the usual 7:45 being tried out at 8:30, then pulled forward to 8:00 after dissent amongst the troops. Huge quantities of chilli, rice & chips plus cheese & biscuits were demolished and then, thankfully, subsequent full...

Club news: Guisborough

June meeting: Bowls at Castleton. After all the rain of the previous week, we were fortunate to have had a dry day and a sunny evening. After a delayed start, when we had to “break into” the bowls hut (after ringing round to obtain the passcode for the padlock) we managed to have a few “ends”. It was great to see the return of an old friend, a very relaxed, chilled out looking, Ian Cowie. Our Treasurer ...
