Region 25

It is an honour to be elected as your Regional 25 Councillor and represent you at National council meetings. I think taking part in the National Walking weekend away last year was the deciding factor to put my name forward for this role. Big step, but I am quite excited with our future for 41 Club and for Region 25.

I joined Round Table in Great Yarmouth in 1985 and transferred to Reading Valley in 1989. In 1998 I moved to Bromley Kent, this coincided with a change in the age rule and therefore a smooth transfer for me into Beckenham RT, this also allowed me to join Beckenham 41 Club – sadly no longer affiliated.

When City of London Round Table 13 was reformed I had the privilege of becoming their President in 2007 and through my role this introduced me to London Old Tablers’ Society (LOTS’) and where I am currently a member.

Many may remember my year as Area President RT Area 26 – Thames South East. (2010 – 2011)

Region 25 has been vacant after Phil Douce completed his time in Office. The current number of active clubs within the Region is 30 with just under 500 members. The Region covers all of Kent, London and South East London. Hopefully with the support of each club within our Region we might be able to rekindle so many things our region has been known for and good at. I look forward to meeting everyone as soon as possible.

My aspirations are as follows.

  • To visit all Clubs at least twice throughout the year and meet you all as members.
  • To support you as members and the clubs throughout Region 25.
  • To promote events, meetings, and other social activities within the Region and Nationally.
  • Continue the fun and fellowship that we enjoyed in Table.
  • Represent you at National meetings.
  • Maintain communication between Clubs. Region and National
