AGM May 2015

It was a fine evening in early May 2015, and for something a little bit different, Shepshed & District 41 Club were holding their AGM aboard a Peter le Marchant Trust barge on the River Soar. The evening was organised by our outgoing Chairman Roger Kenning with his lovely wife Sharon preparing a superb buffet meal.

As can be seen in the photo below, the trip started in a very relaxed manner with us enjoying the fresh air, the slow progress along the river, the occasional glimpses of wildlife, oh - and the beer!

Then, we settled down to the serious business of the AGM. Dave Northage was duly voted in as our new Chairman, with Mike Hall as Vice-Chairman. The members expressed their appreciation of the excellent job done by our other officers by voting them in for yet another year: Secretary Alan Darby, Treasurer Cliff Jones, and Communications Officer Keith Campsall.

Symphony returned to her berth in Loughborough at approximately 10:00pm, which was a little early for some of our members who were spotted visiting The White Hart on Churchgate just a few minutes later.
